Penn State World Campus

Summary:
They believe that knowledge empowers people to do great things in this world. And also believe that you shouldn't have to put your life on hold to gain that knowledge.

The idea of distance education is not a new concept. They've been offering Penn State courses at a distance for more than 100 years. In 1892, Penn State founded one of the nation's first correspondence courses. And in 1998, they were one of the first major accredited universities to provide online education.

At Penn State World Campus, their mission is making sure you have access to a quality academic experience, even if you have job and family obligations to fulfill. If you can’t come to one of their brick-and-mortar campuses, they'll bring their campus to you.

Programs:
The World Campus currently delivers over 50 online undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs in partnership with Penn State academic units, with additional programs being added to the curriculum on a continuing basis. Course enrollments exceed 17,000 annually, which represents over 7,500 individual students from over 40 nations and all 7 continents.
